How it is made
As the studio tells it
The strawberries are raised in relief and painted by hand under the glaze, then high-fired, the studio states. The studio makes the cups in Jingdezhen, and the base carries an incised strawberry and the studio's mark. It says the details differ on every cup.
Green gloss has big white berries on a deep green glaze that pools darker in the hollows. Mocha matte puts the same berries on a mottled brown and grey-green ground. Both have a few small dips shaped into the rim. Pink small berry is covered in tiny pink strawberries, with amber glaze running down between them.
