How it is made
As the studio tells it
The seller describes the cup as handmade and coloured under the glaze; the green apples stand out from the wall, and a small modelled apple on the side is the grip. It notes fine throwing lines, glaze runs and colour that changes with the cup's place in the kiln, so no two cups match. The foot is bare clay, and the maker and the place of making are not stated.
There is no loop handle: a small modelled green apple with its stem sits on the side of the cup instead. The white glaze runs down over the apples in drips, and the foot is left as sandy bare clay. Throwing marks, glaze runs and colour differ from cup to cup. Choose the matching wavy ceramic saucer or a round wooden one; a teaspoon comes with both.
