How it is made
A folded petal rim, ground by hand after the kiln
Each side of the cup is a shallow fold. The rim shrinks in the kiln at about 1300 °C and is ground by hand afterward, so the four petals never meet as exactly as on a machine-made cup. The painting is done by hand under a pale celadon-white glaze: blue bamboo with a small bird, or a pink orchid spray. It holds 2.7 ounces, for tea in small pours or an espresso.
- Painted by hand
The bamboo and orchid are painted by hand under the glaze.
- Fired at 1300 °C
The folded rim shrinks in the firing and is ground by hand afterwards.

Questions
HelpWill mine look exactly like the photos?
The bamboo and orchid are painted by hand and the folds are finished by hand, so the brushwork and the line of the rim vary a little from cup to cup. Shape, size and the way it is glazed stay as shown, so it will feel in the hand like the one in the photo, and the painting on it will be the one made for yours.
How do I care for it?
Wash by hand with warm water and a soft sponge. Avoid sudden changes of temperature, such as pouring boiling water into a cold cup.
When will it arrive?
Most orders arrive in about 10 to 20 days. The dates above the button are worked out for an order placed today, and we email tracking when the parcel leaves.
What if it arrives damaged or wrong?
Email support@ondostudio.shop within 14 days of delivery with a photo of the piece and the box. We send a replacement or refund that piece, whichever you prefer, and you do not need to send anything back.
Can I cancel or return it?
You can cancel free of charge until your order is packed, usually within 48 hours. Each order is packed for you, so we cannot take returns for a change of mind.
